Sunekos: What the Injections Are and How They Differ

Perhaps a friend mentioned Sunekos, or you saw pictures after an injection course and want to know what is actually being injected. Sunekos is a product family, not one interchangeable treatment. Different versions combine hyaluronic acid and amino acids but are not identical. They are discussed mainly for aspects of skin quality, not as a guaranteed way to lift tissue or replace lost facial fat. It is not botulinum toxin (“Botox”), either; these are treatments with different ingredients and aims.

Before deciding, obtain the exact version and composition, the instructions applicable where treatment takes place, the evidence for that formulation and a realistic account of visible recovery and complications. Availability or authorisation in Armenia must not be assumed from an overseas website or advertisement.

What is Sunekos, and why does the box name matter?

Manufacturer Professional Dietetics markets Sunekos in aesthetic medicine as combinations of hyaluronic acid and selected amino acids. Hyaluronic acid binds water; amino acids are building blocks of proteins. The company describes possible support of the extracellular matrix—the framework around skin cells—and of collagen and elastin production. That is a manufacturer mechanism claim, not proof that every patient's collagen will measurably rise or wrinkles will disappear.

Official product information names Sunekos 200, 1200 and Performa, along with Body and Cell. The manufacturer presents 200 as a lower-density HA preparation for skin quality including the periocular region; 1200 as a higher-density formulation also described for combination with 200 in certain company protocols; and Performa as a separate skin-quality product for face, around the eyes and neck. Body and Cell serve different intended purposes; they cannot be substituted for facial injectables by brand association.

Product nameManufacturer's positioningWhat to verify
Sunekos 200HA and amino acids for skin quality, including near the eyesExact local version, instructions, permitted area and formulation-specific studies
Sunekos 1200Higher-density option, also described in combination with 200Why 1200 is proposed, whether a combination is planned and its specific risks
Sunekos PerformaSeparate skin-quality formulaHow it differs from a previous 200 proposal and whether independent studies apply
Body / Cell and other productsDifferent uses and body areasNever transfer facial indications or research merely because the brand matches

A marketing table never replaces the current instructions for use (IFU). Ask to see packaging identifying the product, manufacturer, batch and expiry date, and documents on the supply chain and local status. The manufacturer's references to CE marking concern certain products and a European regulatory context; they do not establish registration, lawful supply, permitted use or actual availability in Armenia. Check the specific device against relevant local records and documentation instead of transferring regulatory decisions between countries.

What might improve—and what should not be promised?

Small wrinkles, a dry-looking surface, reduced firmness or delicate skin texture may prompt a conversation about skin-quality injections after an examination. Some skin measures or appearance might improve; how much and how visibly varies. Strong pigmentation, active inflammation, marked excess skin or substantial fat-volume loss are different problems. Sunekos does not diagnose or necessarily treat their causes.

Do not expect a deep tear trough to vanish, drooping tissue to lift or facial contours to be reshaped. Under-eye shadows can arise from skin, orbital anatomy, superficial vessels, pigment, swelling or protruding fat pads. A single injection programme does not correct all these. Be precise about whether you want a less dry-looking texture or genuine filling of a depression.

What do the studies actually show?

A 2023 single-centre study specifically used Sunekos 200 around the eyes and reported improvements in measured wrinkles and dark circles. Of 35 enrolled women, 23 completed treatment and measurements; these women were 30–55 years old, with Fitzpatrick skin phototypes II–III. They underwent three sessions 15 days apart, and the last assessment was one month after the third. There was no parallel untreated control group, so other influences cannot be reliably excluded, and long-term durability was not established. It is not proof of benefit for all ages, skin tones, causes of dark circles or other Sunekos formulas.

A 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis covered injectable hyaluronic acid plus amino acid preparations as a category. The authors reported favourable signals for selected skin outcomes, while designs, products, measurements and follow-up varied. These are not direct comparative data proving superiority for Sunekos Performa, 200 or 1200, and pooled findings do not give an individual success probability. In the studies checked for this article up to 23 October 2026, there were not enough large, long-term formulation-specific observations to calculate the frequency of rare serious complications for each Sunekos version. This describes the scope of the reviewed evidence, not proof that other studies or complications do not exist.

Ask whether the recommendation rests on a local product IFU, an independent controlled clinical study of the exact formulation, or mostly practitioner experience and manufacturer presentations. A patent, prize or laboratory mechanism does not demonstrate a clinical outcome in people. “Stimulates your own collagen” is too vague without a meaningful outcome and a follow-up time.

When is another option or postponement better?

Goal or situationWhat mattersNext step
Subtle changes in texture and a wish for a small effectPotentially discussable, not “rejuvenation with no traces”Check formulation, evidence, likely benefit and course rationale
Deep hollow or major contour changeTexture improvement is not replacement of lost volumeAssess anatomy and volume-restoration approaches separately

Pregnancy or breastfeedingSafety of elective cosmetic injections is not sufficiently establishedPostpone and discuss skin care with your clinician
Allergy, prior injection reactions, clotting problems or anticoagulantsReview ingredients, bleeding and the treatment plan individuallyDisclose your history; never stop prescribed medicines yourself

These are decision prompts, not every contraindication for each version. The actual IFU and your health determine restrictions. Do not go ahead during an illness just to keep a schedule if the clinician advises delay. Mention autoimmune and other chronic diseases, severe previous allergy and earlier fillers, bringing any available product details and past treatment records.

How might the appointment and recovery feel?

It starts with examining skin, your actual concern, risky sites and a realistic goal. The clinician should explain the exact version, hygiene, consent, appropriate technique and authorised documentation. Injections can sting, burn slightly or feel like pressure; comfort varies with the site, technique and anaesthesia. Around the eyes, anatomy, swelling tendency and the cause of shadows need particular care.

Immediately afterward you might see small raised injection points, tiny puncture marks, redness or puffiness; bruising is also possible. Pictures of other patients cannot predict yours. Some changes fade quickly, others linger. The date you can go to work and the date no trace is noticeable can be different; a festive occasion deserves flexibility.

During the first day swelling can make texture look uneven; even over the following days it may be too early to judge results. Ask for written, product-specific instructions for cleansing, makeup, exercise, sauna, pool, sun exposure and face massage. A universal “exactly 48 hours” rule without the formula and injection method is unreliable. Do not massage raised points or try to flatten them yourself unless specifically instructed.

If you have a work meeting, filming, or simply want privacy, plan for social visibility as well as medical healing. Could you attend comfortably without makeup? Is concealer allowed? What if a bruise stays longer than hoped? A modest texture change need not justify risk or an inconvenient schedule if your concern is minor.

Which injection risks must not be dismissed?

Every injection breaches the skin. Possible harms include pain, swelling, bruising, infection, allergy, nodules and persistent inflammation. Their frequency and profile differ between products; FDA information on dermal fillers cannot be used as Sunekos-specific complication rates. There is also a serious general concern with some facial injected materials: accidental entry into a vessel or impaired blood flow. Skin necrosis, vision loss including blindness, and stroke have been reported with some materials used for facial filling. These outcomes are uncommon but demand a planned emergency response; one cannot assume the same measured risk for each Sunekos formulation.

Severe or increasing unusual pain, sudden pallor or mottled colour, abrupt vision change, weakness or speech difficulty following an injection are not ordinary healing. Obtain immediate medical care; call emergency services for vision or neurological symptoms. A painful lump appearing later, spreading redness or fever also needs prompt examination, not home massage.

Verify the practitioner's qualifications, understanding of vascular anatomy, ability to recognise emergencies and arrangements for urgent transfer. Ask who will inject, what local permission and training they have, and what happens if a circulation problem occurs. Discuss emergency resources in relation to this specific product. Being able to dissolve some HA fillers does not mean every injection complication can be reversed quickly or completely.

How does it differ from a filler, Profhilo or Jalupro?

Sunekos is generally discussed for skin quality. Firm contouring fillers are typically selected to add volume or alter the shape of a region; viscosity, technique, intended outcome and risks differ. Profhilo and Jalupro are distinct product families with their own formulations and evidence. Sharing the phrase “hyaluronic acid” or “biorevitalisation” does not make treatments interchangeable or establish comparative superiority.

If expression lines dominate, discuss the role of facial movement separately. If sun damage and uneven pigment dominate, photoprotection, topical care and dermatological assessment may make more sense. Gentle skin care, observation or no injection are reasonable if you do not want a procedure. A careful consultation can conclude that nothing should be injected now.

How to assess a quote and before-and-after photos

A useful estimate names the exact product, number of packs, schedule and visits, follow-up arrangements and possible extra assessment. A single price without version or plan is hard to compare. In Armenia, seek documentation for local availability, lawful supply and status of the specific variant; a European brand presence proves none of them.

Compare photographs under equal light and head position, without retouching and with a stated interval. Around the eyes, lighting changes shadows greatly. Ask what is not visible: bruising, duration of any benefit or extra procedures. Social-media reviews cannot establish how rare complications are because posters are not a representative study population.

Five questions before you consent

  1. What exact Sunekos product is in the box, and what IFU applies here?
  2. Why is this version appropriate for my particular concern, what measurable change is plausible, and what will remain?
  3. Which studies test this formulation, and which address HA plus amino acids generally?
  4. What marks and restrictions may follow each session, and how much flexibility should I allow before an event?
  5. Who injects, and what emergency response is available for unusual pain, skin discolouration or vision change?

You may take time to decide and decline a prepaid course on consultation day. Your decision should begin with an intelligible reason for this precise injection, not the number of sessions sold.

Additional questions

Is Sunekos the same thing as a “skin booster”?

“Skin booster” is a broad marketing label for injections intended to improve skin quality, not a standard formula or one regulatory category. Check the full product name.

Can I swap Sunekos versions halfway through a course?

Not automatically. Each version needs appropriate indications, documents and a clinician's plan. A change should have a clinical reason, not merely reflect available stock.

Does Sunekos fix swollen bags under the eyes?

Do not expect injections to eliminate swelling from every cause. First distinguish fluid retention, protruding fat pads, skin changes and medical conditions that need assessment.

Should I stop blood-thinning medication in advance?

Never discontinue prescribed anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs by yourself. Tell the clinician and, when needed, coordinate with the prescribing doctor.

Can the result be judged after the first injection?

Swelling and puncture marks affect immediate appearance. Agree on an assessment time appropriate to the formulation, schedule and goal; photos taken the same evening are not reliable outcome evidence.
